Lauren is a comic artist, filmmaker, and birth doula who has worked in animation for 17 years. She is currently a Post Production executive for Adult Animation at Netflix.
As Post Production Manager for the preschool series Dora the Explorer, Lauren developed a passion for the research and curriculum side of kids’ TV. In May 2017, she completed her master’s degree in Children’s Media Research within the Cognitive Science in Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Lauren has also worked at DreamWorks as Post Production Supervisor for the animated series Trolls: The Beat Goes On and Spirit Riding Free. She was the Post Production Coordinator for the Nickelodeon series SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, Robot & Monster, and Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and has interned at Pixar Animation Studios, National Geographic Films, and DooF: A Food Show for Kids. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Film Directing from UCLA.
Her comics have been published with Zine-O-Matic and Silver Lake Shorts, and selected for exhibition at Comic Arts LA, LA Zine Fest, and San Diego Zine Fest.
Lauren enjoys yoga, camping, bubbles, and playing keyboard. She is a member of The Beam art collective.
